Encore Theatre RENT Auditions
| Audition Date: May 27, 7:00–9:00 PM – Ages 18–45 Don’t miss your chance to be part of this show! … no day like today to be part of a pop cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. AUDITIONS to discover and assemble a diversely talented ensemble of sixteen actors/artists will take place on: Tuesday, May 26th, and Wednesday, May 27th, from 7-9 pm. CALLBACKS will be Thursday, May 28th, from 7-9 pm. Singers, actors, and dancers (ages 18-45) are encouraged to audition! AUDITION PROCESS: 1) SING- Prepare and perform 60 seconds of a pop/rock song from the 80s-90s time period or any song that demonstrates your vocal range, tone, and interpretive ability. 2) INTERPRET- Prepare and deliver a 60-second monologue that reflects your understanding of the Role(s) you are seeking. 3) MOVE- Demonstrate coordination and ability to use your body in story interpretation. Audition packets are ready and include: an overview of the story, character descriptions, suggested monologues, rehearsal requirements, and the Audition Form.
